The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta
(FUNNAB) has extended students’ resumption till
further notice.
FUNNAB students, last week Thursday, embarked
on peaceful protest, which later turned violent,
over incessant robbery attacks and rape cases
on students leaving off campus.
In a statement by the Head of the Directorate of
Public Relations, Mrs Emi Alawode, on
Wednesday night, the authorities said a
committee had been set up by the school
management during a special Senate meeting
held on Monday.
Alawode said the extension of the resumption
was to enable the committee to submit its
report, after looking at the direct and indirect
causes of the protest, in order to prevent such in
the nearest future.
